Being a mom isn't easy. There are many useful parenting methods out there to help deal with our misbehaving children, but one mom seems to have taken things way too far. Keep scrolling to see her "disgusting" punishment...

There's nothing quite as rewarding as motherhood...

The love between you and your child is something unlike any other feeling on earth… It’s a pretty magical thing.

But that's not to say it's easy...

Being a mom is basically the hardest job on earth – and the pressure to be a perfect parent can make life even more stressful.

And even if you try to stay relaxed...

There are some aspects of motherhood are just eternally frustrating. Hey, no one said being a mom was always going to be great fun, right?

There are many things that make parenthood irritating...

But there’s one thing pretty much every mom out there can relate to, which is that feeling that you’re constantly fighting a losing battle against your kids’ annoying habits.

There's no such thing as a perfect child...

And at some point during our kids’ lives, they will make sure to make our lives as difficult as possible.

It's all about resilience...

And most importantly, it’s all about putting your foot down and not giving in.

There are various different methods of disciplining our children...

And whilst some may be considered extreme and unnecessary, many of these methods prove to be very useful.

One mom has gone viral this week for her discipline methods...

And it has truly divided the internet.

A photograph was shared online by Molly Wooden of Texas...

And it shows an unidentified mom standing in the public bathroom of a Hobby Lobby in the town of Killeen.

Here is the snap...

“To the woman in the Hobby Lobby bathroom. If my hands weren’t full of children I would have applauded you. As your son gave you the back talk of the century, you stayed calm and collected while adding 10 more push-ups to his already growing number,” Molly wrote on her Facebook post.

The mom showed no shame or embarrassment...

“We need more parents like you, who aren’t afraid to parent their own children because of what someone else might think. He said, ‘Mama, this is the bathroom floor, grossssss.’ She said maybe you shouldn’t have been acting obnoxious. (They have soap for a reason.) 10 more’.”

Since Molly shared the post, it has been shared more than 42,000 times...

And many of the comments were praising the mom for her resilience and strict parenting style. “This right here is what America needs to get back to… parenting!” one impressed mom wrote on Facebook.

Many believe this method will make children learn their lessons quicker...

Facebook user David Turner commented, “I’m all for it… real consequences for running that mouth. Keep it up and u will be the buffest kid out there. That’s [why] so many of these feel the need to say and do anything with no repercussions. I do the same thing. Made my son jog about 10 blocks cause he was being disrespectful. The lesson this will not be tolerated and if u continue it will be consequences [sic]”

But not everyone felt this way...

“Horrible, she took him [aside]. A public restroom isn’t really private. A good mother would have finished up an addressed the issue at home,” one user wrote.

Some felt that this would turn the young boy against his mom...

“Some parents don’t realize that kids pretty much have a feeling of resentment. Especially after doing push-ups in a public restroom. [And] washing our hands doesn’t kill every germ. I’m sure there was a better solution, and this wasn’t it. Some adults are just [too] selfish to see true parenting through…” another wrote.

It is an extremely mixed opinion...

But at the end of the day, it’s more than likely that the young boy learned his lesson from this unorthodox method of discipline. Ryan Reynolds is one of Hollywood's best-loved actors.

He’s probably best known for his role as Marvel superhero, Deadpool – in fact, he even directed the second Deadpool movie.

He's also well-known for something else.

Reynolds has one of the most beloved social media presences in the celebosphere. His Twitter is absolutely loaded with golden moments, often making fun of being a husband and a father.

Reynolds' wife is the stunning Blake Lively.

She’s had an impressive movie career, although many would argue that her most famous role is still that of privileged socialite, Serena van der Woodsen, in teen soap, Gossip Girl.

The pair are undeniably "couple goals."

Aside from being two of the most attractive people on the planet, they also seem to have an excellent sense of humor when it comes to their relationship.

Which is often depicted on social media.

Reynolds often takes to Twitter and Instagram to poke fun at married life and fatherhood.

But there's one time of year in which Reynolds really shines.

Around the time of his wife’s birthday, he often comes up with ingenious ways to share a sarcastic tribute to Lively – like this iconic poorly-cropped photo.

Though Lively gives as good as she gets.

On Reynolds’ birthday, in response, she posted a tribute to the other famous Ryan – Ryan Gosling – cropping out her husband in the process.

Here's another classic birthday troll.

Nothing says “I love my wife,” like being more focused on the celebrations of an aging country star than her own special day.

But last year, Reynolds went the extra mile.

In his need to upstage his previous birthday tributes to Lively, he shared a collage that he’d clearly been working on all year.

Yep, that's right.

A whole selection of images of Lively looking not quite her polished best.

They included some classic Reynolds tropes.

For example, the ole crop-out – in which Reynolds posts what is technically a couple-selfie, but really barely includes his lovely wife.

The images tended to feature Lively looking unprepared for the camera.

And so generally show her with her eyes closed, mid-blink – and often feature some unappealingly blurry camera work.

Fans noticed something hilarious.

In every picture featuring the pair, while Lively looks less than her best, Reynolds is always absolutely working the shot.

But fans also noticed something else.

It’s true that these images of Lively are a little different to the uber-posed, made-up shots that we’re used to seeing.

But, honestly?

Lively doesn’t really look bad, per se, in any of the images. Sure, she looks a little unprepared and poorly posed, but she’s still undeniably a ten out of ten. Did your plan kind of back-fire on you, Ry?

We honestly don't think we could love them any more than we already do...

And it’s easy to see that they work as a great team together in raising their family.

They share 3 daughters together...

They have James, who is 6, Inez, who is 3, and a baby daughter who was born last year and is yet to have her name revealed to the public.

The couple keeps their family life rather private...

Obviously making the exception for Reynold’s hilarious stories on Twitter!

But Reynolds has recently opened up about what life is like behind closed doors for him and his daughters.

Appearing on a live-stream chat for The Late Show, the actor discussed how he and his 3 girls have been keeping occupied in the house together.

For those who aren't aware...

Millions of people around the world are now in lockdown.

The pandemic has brought the world to a complete standstill...

And just like everyone else, the rich and famous have also been affected by the outbreak.

Reynolds has been staying firmly indoors with Lively and their daughters...

And in his interview, he explained how they, as a family, have been coping with being kept indoors.

His "life-saving" mother-in-law has been staying at the family home with them...

And Reynolds said, “It’s been incredible to have her here. She doesn’t know it, but actually, she’s emergency food if this gets real . . . I will not hesitate to eat the children.”

He went on to explain that he's enjoying being surrounded by girls...

“I do not miss the masculine company at all. Really, most men tend to be the architects of someone’s demise,” he said, “So, it’s fine. I like just being here with the girls. I like doing the girl stuff.”

The girls, stereotypically, have wanted to make dresses...

“I try not to push gender-normative ideas on my kids as they’re born, but each one when they came out that shoot, they wanted to make dresses, they wanted to dress in hot pink all day. So, that’s what I do. This morning I made dresses out of tissue paper, which was fun for them. Not bad at all.”

The family has also been occupying their time with home-schooling and gardening...

“We’re trying to make this an educational experience,” he explained, “but I’m mostly drinking.”

Totally relateable, we must say!
